By accessing or using Finley Reading Quest ("Finley," "the Service") at finleyreads.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Finley is intended for use by parents and guardians on behalf of children ages 4–12. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and the parent or legal guardian of any child whose profile you create.
Finley offers the following subscription plans:
All prices are in USD. Subscription fees are charged to the payment method on file at the start of each billing period.
7-Day Free Trial: New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. After 7 days, your subscription automatically converts to a paid plan at the rate listed above.
Auto-Renewal Disclosure: Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless you cancel before the renewal date. You authorize us to charge your payment method on file for the renewal amount.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting us at [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time in a billing period, except as described in our Progress Guarantee below.
Free Tier: Without a subscription, you may use Finley for 1 session per day at no cost, subject to availability and our fair use policy.
🌟 Our Promise: If your child completes at least 10 reading sessions in their first 30 days and you don't see meaningful progress, we'll refund your first month's payment in full. No questions asked. Email [email protected] with subject "Progress Guarantee" within 30 days of your first charge.
This guarantee applies to your first month of paid subscription only. Progress is measured by our adaptive engine's assessment of reading level advancement.
You agree to use Finley only for its intended purpose — helping children learn to read. You agree not to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Our Content: All reading passages, exercises, AI-generated content, software, design, and branding in the Service are owned by or licensed to Finley Reading Quest. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.
Your Data: You own your child's reading data. We use it to provide and improve the Service as described in our Privacy Policy. You may request a copy or deletion of your data at any time.
Feedback: If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that feedback to improve our products.
Finley is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Service's fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of educational content, uninterrupted availability, or that the Service will meet your specific expectations.
Finley is a learning tool and supplement — not a substitute for professional educational assessment or instruction. We recommend consulting with your child's school or a reading specialist for formal evaluations.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Finley Reading Quest and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Your use of Finley is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and are committed to protecting children's privacy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email (if provided) or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property claims.
You waive any right to participate in a class-action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
